CBD Energy has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract to install a solar photovoltaic system at a school in New Jersey, US.
The $3.8m project involves installation of multiple rooftop and carport photovoltaic systems to supply renewable energy to the school.
CBD Energy US development & investor relations senior vice president James Greer said the successful completion of solar project, which is a first for the company in US will be an important demonstration of its competitive advantage the US market.
Westinghouse Solar will partner CBD in delivering the project by lending technical and project management services.
Excess power, if any from the project, will be sold to the public grid.
